Paddy Power Tongan rugby team PR stunt

Marketing Team Direct has helped the well-known Irish Bookmaker Paddy Power to make some noise at the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France.

Following Tongan rugby star Epi Taione changing his name to Paddy Power by deed poll at the start of the tournament for the duration, it is likely that the Tongan Team will take to the pitch on Saturday against England sporting green hair!

Six foot cut outs of Power-Taione with green hair have been sent to the media to draw their attention to the PR stunt which is already being talked about - boosting brand awareness and generating word of mouth for Paddy Power over the tournament and beyond.
